This page is your resource for the 2025 Superman Bicycle Ride. Here you can register online for the ride and find downloadable route maps. (If you prefer to register and pay in person on the morning of the ride you can do that, too.) After filling out the registration form below, we ask you to follow one or both payment links (for Adult and/or Youth) to complete your registration.
The 37th Metropolis Kiwanis Superman Bicycle Ride will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, in conjunction with the 2025 Superman Celebration in Metropolis, IL. The ride will begin at 8 AM at Washington Park (across from the Metropolis Public Library) with a mass start led by Superman. You can view a map of the registration and start location here. Once again the ride will include 10 mile, 40 mile, and 60 mile routes. The 10 mile route is relatively flat and the 40 and 60 mile routes have challenging hills. A drawing of early registrants (those who register not later than May 9, 2025) will be held prior to the start of the Ride for a bicycle and related accessories (donated by the Kiwanis Club of Metropolis). (As we did last year, instead of a physical bicycle, we will provide a gift certificate from Bike World of Paducah, KY, that can be used for anything in the store.)
The entry fee for adult riders this year will be $35. The early registration cutoff date for the prize drawings will be May 9, 2025. Children 16 and under ride FREE with a registered parent or guardian. This FREE ride does not include an event t-shirt but shirts can be purchased for $20 (while supplies last). In addition to online and mail-in registration options, walk in registration will be available the day of the event at Washington Park between 7:00 and 8:00 AM. Payment options are: credit card, debit card, or PayPal for online registration; and cash or check in person Saturday morning.
